Troopers in Saratoga County were called at around 5:45 p.m. Monday, April 24, with reports of a burglary in progress at a home in Moreau, located on Hilton Drive, according to State Police.

As they were heading to the scene, troopers learned that the suspects had fled the home in a car.

With assistance from the South Glens Falls Police Department and Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office, police spotted the suspects on State Route 9 in Gansevoort and conducted a traffic stop.

Deborah Moses, age 38, of Moreau and Justin Pardick, age 40, of Wilton were both arrested without incident, police said.

Investigators determined that the pair entered the Moreau home without permission and stole multiple items before they were caught by the homeowner.

As they attempted to flee, Pardick “recklessly operated the vehicle,” causing the homeowner to fall to the ground, according to police.

Moses is charged with the following:

  • Second-degree burglary
  • Fourth-degree attempted grand larceny
  • Two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance

Pardick is charged with:

  • Second-degree burglary
  • Fourth-degree attempted grand larceny
  • Second-degree reckless endangerment

Both suspects were arraigned at the Moreau Town Court and ordered held at the Saratoga County jail on $1,000 bond.
